Students will gain a full appreciation of the management of a large 600 cow herd of high yielding dairy cows, calving August/September. Duties will include management of the calving cow, pre and post parturition. care of the new born calf and calf rearing at the calf unit. Fresh cow management, foot care and milking.
Monday for two weeks, work hours by mutual agreement, we want students to gain the maximum experience but have enough time for R&R. Two week placements available within the stated window.
