The main duties revolve around the horse care such as: mucking out, poo picking, keeping areas clean and tidy, cleaning feed mangers, drinkers etc. We have a large external team of vets, physios, dentists and farriers, there will be opportunities to observe and work with them where suitable. If any previous experience handling horses there is a chance for this too. From February- June our main breeding season is in full swing and our new foals are born during this time too, there are opportunities to assist and observe with the foaling.
Our usual working day is 7am-5.30pm with an hour break throughout the day. Foaling and late checks are shared amongst the team on a rota basis.
